    御金街以推動清遠(yuǎn)旅游業(yè)發(fā)展為己任，得到清遠(yuǎn)市旅游局的大力支持，設(shè)立清遠(yuǎn)市旅游服務(wù)中心，集旅游咨詢、線路推介服務(wù)、租車服務(wù)、酒店預(yù)訂服務(wù)、高速公路接駁轉(zhuǎn)運(yùn)站等功能于一體，旅游咨詢大廳設(shè)“清遠(yuǎn)知多少”欄目，讓游客更深入地了解。自2011年9月27日正式啟用以來，清遠(yuǎn)市旅游服務(wù)中心為往來的游客提供地接、安排自主旅游線路、商務(wù)包車、住宿等一站式的服務(wù)，深受游客的好評。凸顯御金街旅游特色，展示清遠(yuǎn)旅游風(fēng)情。

    美麗的鳳凰臺：鳳凰，是中國古代傳說中的百鳥之王，和龍一樣為漢族的民族圖騰。鳳凰齊飛，是吉祥和諧的象征，是一種代表幸福的靈物。鳳凰傳說，傳承清遠(yuǎn)的福地文化，給清遠(yuǎn)的傳統(tǒng)文化帶來了興旺發(fā)達(dá)的福音，與清遠(yuǎn)鳳城之稱遙相呼應(yīng)，也寓意御金街的未來如意興盛。

    御金街，根據(jù)清遠(yuǎn)《鳳城傳說》和漢朝的琴曲《鳳求凰》而設(shè)計(jì)建筑的文化景觀《鳳凰臺》，為前來清遠(yuǎn)觀光的游客了解清遠(yuǎn)“鳳城”文化打開了一扇新的窗口。人們在欣賞贊嘆《鳳凰臺》這個巧奪天工的建筑藝術(shù)之余，還對發(fā)生于鳳城的“人、禽互為救援，舍身取義”的和諧、奉獻(xiàn)精神和發(fā)生于漢朝的演繹了司馬相如與卓文君之間純真\浪漫\忠貞\真摯愛情的琴曲《鳳求凰》而感動。許多文人墨客因此而駐足在《鳳凰臺》上，流連徘徊，雅興盡然，或高吟詩詞、或揮豪潑墨，把自己的感觸用文字語言表達(dá)的淋漓盡致。

鳳城的由來：

    清遠(yuǎn)又稱鳳城，是由于清遠(yuǎn)的地圖像一只鳳凰。鳳城之名還源自一傳說：在清遠(yuǎn)市工人文化宮附近的一棵高大梧桐樹上棲息了一窩鳳凰，樹下住一青年，名張易，靠泛舟為生。有一年，北江洪水泛濫，俗語云：“南雄落水灑濕石，去到韶關(guān)漲三尺，落到英德淹半壁，浸到清遠(yuǎn)佬無地走?！笨梢姾樗疀懊停幌伦忧宄撬?，張易撐著小艇到處救人，救到梧桐樹下，聽到鳳凰吱吱喳喳，才發(fā)現(xiàn)水位快浸到樹頂，大鳳凰都出去找吃的，小鳳凰翅膀還沒長齊，眼看水已淹沒梧桐樹，張易趕緊游去樹中心抱起窩里的小鳳凰，但張易的腳被樹的寄生藤纏住，無法脫身，只好將小鳳凰放置艇中，自己卻不幸被水淹沒，母鳳凰飛回來，見此感人一幕，覺得人為救鳳凰也肯舍命相救，自己也應(yīng)當(dāng)完成年青人救人心愿，就伏在水面，讓落水的人踩著它的背逃生，最后因體力不支，也犧牲了，化成清遠(yuǎn)兩條街，所以清遠(yuǎn)看上去像一只鳳凰，而鳳凰犧牲的地方，稱為起鳳里，清城因此得名叫鳳城。

Qingyuan Yujin Commercial Street

    Qingyuan Yujin commercial street is opposite to Henghe Exit of Guangzhou-Qingyuan expressway.As a Tourist Service Center in Qingyuan, it is the first stop for tourists whotravel to Qingyuan. Yujin commercial street is a comprehensive place with entertainment,shopping, leisure, catering, hotels, consult service and cultural experience are available. Adopting the architectural style of the Tang Dynasty, Qingyuan Yujin commercial street can best present the Tang culture in every brick and tile but with modern flavor blending into the elegant city. Its cultural connotation is having the characteristics of being combined with the Datang customs and culture, Zen culture, Chinese Phoenix culture, Chinese calligraphy and arts culture and Qingyuan tourism culture. Projects in Yujin commercial street are composed of Qingyuan Tourist Service Center, Zhu ruzhen Park, Datang customs and culture experience area and Fengcheng Phoenix platform, as well as the Shaolin Temple, in which the tour information, the unique cultural landscape and plenty of shopping streets can be best reflect the culture of Qingyuan.

    Taking the Qingyuan tourism development as mission, Yujin commercial street has obtained the strong support from Qingyuan Tourism Bureau. The Beautiful Phoenix Platform:

    Phoenix,a Han ethnic totem, is the king of birds according to the ancient Chinese legend. It said that if there’re a group of flying Phoenix, it is an auspicious and harmonious symbol and also can be claimed as a spirit of happiness. The legend of Phoenix carrying blessed cultural heritage, bring the prosperity gospel to Qingyuan traditional culture. Besides, it also symbolizes the flourishing of Yujin commercial street in the future.

    Yujin commercial street, a cultural landscape Phoenix platform, serving as a new culture window for the tourists to  understand the Fengcheng culture in Qingyuan, was built in accordance with the "Fengcheng legend" and a Han melody "Feng beg Huang". Tourists can appreciate this wonderful architectural art of Phoenix platform but also may be moved by two touching stories. One is about a young man and phoenix sacrificed in order to help local people escape from flood occurred in Fengcheng. The other is the Han melody "Feng beg Huang" that narrated the innocence,romantic, loyal and sincere love between Sima Xiangru and Zhuo Wenjun. Thus many scholars or calligraphers incisively and vividly express their own feelings with language when they come to Phoenix platform.

The origin of Phoenix City

    The nickname of Qingyuan is Phoenix City, the reason behind its nickname, there're roughly two kinds of sayings. First, the terrain of Qingyuan just looks like as a Phoenix. Second is derived from a touching story about human and phoenix sacrificed in order to help local people escape from flood. That is, many floods have occurred in Beijiang River for thousands of years. It said that a heavy rainstorm hit Qingcheng and resulting as a flood calamity at that time. At that time, a young man named Zhang Yi who lived under the tree. When he rescued people by boat everywhere he found out numbers of baby phoenixes were hiding on the branches of a plane tree. Zhang Yi was extremely exhausted, however, he insisted in saving those miserable little things. Suddenly, a giant phoenix flew over the sky,looking for her baby phoenixes. Meanwhile, she saw a young man struggling tohold up the phoenix nest, unfortunately, when the phoenix nest was placed on high ground at the moment, the young man was caught up in the surging waves.Phoenix jumped into the water, trying to stretch her body in the flood, people who were surrounded by floods have went on shore through the wings and back of Phoenix. However, because keeping stretch in the water for a whole day and night, phoenix was too exhausted and was washed away by flood finally.

     As a result, the giant body turned into a phoenix-shaped land in Qingcheng. And theplace where phoenix sacrificed was renamed as“ Qifeng alley”. Therefore, the name of Phoenix city came into being.
