    牛魚(yú)嘴嶺南原始風(fēng)光景區(qū)，位于清遠(yuǎn)市東城秀田螺村，依附大帽山。景區(qū)占地面積3800畝，距廣州70公里；是經(jīng)中科院植物研究專(zhuān)家考察證實(shí)的一個(gè)原始亞熱帶野生植物園。其中，國(guó)家一、二類(lèi)保護(hù)的珍稀植物——古藤類(lèi)（禾雀花）和蕨類(lèi)植物（刺桫欏）等特別多，屬典型的原始次生林帶。

    溯溪而上，老樹(shù)古藤、怪石林立、流水潺潺，鳥(niǎo)叫蟬鳴、花香遠(yuǎn)溢，原始生態(tài)六大奇觀大風(fēng)口、神泉、玉龍?zhí)?、古藤王、四爪奇楓、刺桫欏讓您一飽眼福；玉龍瀑、飛瀑流泉、雙孖瀑布等幾大瀑布群，錯(cuò)落有致，形態(tài)各異；空氣清新，負(fù)離子很高，是一個(gè)天然的大氧吧。美景四季紛呈：春天觀賞滿溪的“禾雀花”，夏天沐浴飛天瀑布，秋天觀賞不是香山勝似香山的滿山紅葉，冬天探尋半山神泉。同時(shí)，沿溪設(shè)計(jì)的臥龍谷探險(xiǎn)、瀑布口攀巖項(xiàng)目及山口的自然山石親水灣游泳池、水上拓展、自然山體滑草場(chǎng)、水上竹筏、園林燒烤等到豐富多彩的參與性極強(qiáng)、動(dòng)感剌激的游玩項(xiàng)目、令游客開(kāi)心無(wú)比。

    牛魚(yú)嘴風(fēng)景區(qū)由三個(gè)游覽區(qū)組成，從下至上依次是：休閑區(qū)、探險(xiǎn)區(qū)、嶺南觀光區(qū)?，F(xiàn)在我們首先游覽的是休閑區(qū)。

【休閑區(qū)】

    朋友們，休閑區(qū)主要以休閑、游樂(lè)為主。請(qǐng)看這個(gè)大湖，那碧綠、清澈、透亮的湖水．就是“碧翠湖”啦，湖水面積約為6.7公頃；大家往右看，湖中倒映的青山是古松林，占地約50畝，現(xiàn)存古松約為350棵，樹(shù)齡最大的250多年，平均樹(shù)齡約150年，屬?gòu)V東馬尾松。古松林原為當(dāng)?shù)匦闾锫荽宓娘L(fēng)水林。風(fēng)水林帶有一定的迷信色彩，認(rèn)為能保佑子孫后代興旺發(fā)達(dá)，也因?yàn)檫@個(gè)原因，無(wú)人敢砍伐，自然生態(tài)保護(hù)得很好。

    朋友們，請(qǐng)?jiān)偻笨?，湖中倒映的大山就叫大帽山，帽子的帽；也叫大霧山，云霧的霧。山頂常年被云罩著，像戴著帽子一樣，所以這里的村民都叫它大帽山。為什么又叫牛魚(yú)嘴呢?請(qǐng)大家一邊走一邊聽(tīng)我講個(gè)美麗的傳說(shuō)：傳說(shuō)很久很久以前，這里是一片大海，海里住著南海龍王第九個(gè)兒子龍，也住著牛魔王的兒子牛，還住著鯉魚(yú)精的小女兒魚(yú)，他們一起在海中長(zhǎng)大，青梅竹馬，兩小無(wú)猜。牛為人忠誠(chéng)、力大無(wú)比；龍風(fēng)流倜儻．但是脾氣暴躁；魚(yú)溫柔體貼、婀娜多姿。龍和牛都同時(shí)愛(ài)上了魚(yú)，但魚(yú)只愛(ài)牛。有一次，牛與魚(yú)幽會(huì)，恰巧被龍看見(jiàn)，一時(shí)大怒，要與牛一比高下，大戰(zhàn)了七七四十九天，翻江倒海、天昏地暗，結(jié)果，海水干枯變成了高山，仍然不分勝負(fù)。這件事驚動(dòng)玉皇大帝，派天神把龍釘在了大帽山頂，那就是野史說(shuō)的中國(guó)第九龍脈，也就有了秦始皇統(tǒng)一中國(guó)后斬?cái)嗟诰艞l龍脈的傳說(shuō)。把魚(yú)鎖在了半山腰，把牛趕下了人間做苦役。天神趕牛下人間的前一夜，牛不顧一切，擁抱著魚(yú)，圓了他們的愛(ài)情之夢(mèng)。后來(lái)也就有了一個(gè)似牛非牛、非牛非魚(yú)的小生命——牛魚(yú)。人們?yōu)榱思o(jì)念牛和魚(yú)的忠貞愛(ài)情，把牛和魚(yú)圓愛(ài)情之夢(mèng)的山嘴稱(chēng)為牛魚(yú)嘴。

   好，傳說(shuō)講完了，我們也到了休閑島了，這里有連著休閑島的十個(gè)水上拓展項(xiàng)目，有點(diǎn)蜻蜒點(diǎn)水、情人橋等，朋友們，大家玩?zhèn)€痛快吧。

    大家玩得很開(kāi)心吧？看到那個(gè)亭子嗎？那叫桃花亭，四周種了幾百棵桃樹(shù)和李樹(shù)，桃花盛開(kāi)的季節(jié)會(huì)有很多人過(guò)來(lái)賞花。每年新春，大家可到這里“走桃花運(yùn)”。亭子背面是沿山體滑草場(chǎng)，還有滑車(chē)場(chǎng)、射箭場(chǎng)和園林式沿溪燒烤場(chǎng)。再往前走，就是自然山石親水灣游泳池啦，看，池水是那么的清澈、透亮，這里的水是神泉山溪水，直接經(jīng)過(guò)泳池再流入“碧翠湖”。

【探險(xiǎn)區(qū)】

    朋友們，游完體閑區(qū)后，我們將進(jìn)入驚險(xiǎn)刺激的探險(xiǎn)區(qū)，大家請(qǐng)看這池，它叫“兄妹池”，這是牛魚(yú)美麗傳說(shuō)的后傳：牛和魚(yú)圓夢(mèng)之后所生的孿生兄妹二人，由于鯉魚(yú)母親被鎖在山上，牛又在遠(yuǎn)方服苦役，因此二人相依為命，哥哥外出狩獵，妹妹在家洗衣做飯，但每次哥哥狩獵回來(lái)之后洗澡都在溪水的上游，十分不方便，于是在這里開(kāi)挖了這兩個(gè)池。兄妹感情深厚、血濃于水。所以附近的居民都稱(chēng)它為“兄妹池”。

    小橋流水，溯溪而上，這就是探險(xiǎn)區(qū)的起點(diǎn)，這是“金龜鎍”探險(xiǎn)索道，大家都來(lái)參與吧！一起經(jīng)過(guò)索道，尋找潛在水中的金龜。找過(guò)金龜，我們就去爬龍門(mén)梯，再尋找傳說(shuō)中的“鯉魚(yú)精”吧！

    這是臥龍谷，曲曲直直一目了然，潺潺的溪水直流而下，像一條熟睡的龍。這是月牙梯，每步都像是踩在彎彎的月亮上面，請(qǐng)抓住繩子，走過(guò)后我們就可沿著熟睡的臥龍到游龍?zhí)诫U(xiǎn)啦！踩著云層，穿過(guò)龍的肚子，這就是游龍?zhí)诫U(xiǎn)。

    看！瀑布，“嶺南第一溪”飛流而下，大家不要以為是到了下一個(gè)游覽區(qū)嶺南觀光區(qū)，這也是探險(xiǎn)之一的“瀑布口”攀巖，迎瀑而上，直攀頂峰。攀巖，是具有挑戰(zhàn)性、娛樂(lè)性的運(yùn)動(dòng)，起源于歐洲的阿爾卑斯山脈，傳說(shuō)中的英俊小伙子，不懼險(xiǎn)阻，冒著生命的危險(xiǎn)，攀上懸崖的頂部，把世界上最美的玫瑰摘下來(lái)送給自己心愛(ài)的姑娘，從而獲得了珍貴的愛(ài)情。各位朋友，在這里，景區(qū)已經(jīng)為您做好了牢靠的保護(hù)措施，確保安全，您愿意接受挑戰(zhàn)嗎?愿意為了愛(ài)情而奮斗冒險(xiǎn)嗎？試試吧！我們也是英雄，我們要做英雄。

    朋友們，探險(xiǎn)之路我們已到了最高點(diǎn)，這是百步騰云梯，總共有100級(jí)，也是我們的探險(xiǎn)下山近路。沿著百步騰云梯直下，再數(shù)到一百個(gè)梯級(jí)，就結(jié)束了探險(xiǎn)旅程。然后，經(jīng)過(guò)一段清幽的小溪，那里有清涼的溪水在恭候著您。

【嶺南觀光區(qū)】

    朋友們，經(jīng)過(guò)探險(xiǎn)區(qū)后，我們將進(jìn)入嶺南觀光區(qū)。您看，那就是牛魚(yú)亭，讓我們?nèi)ふ遗：汪~(yú)的身影吧！放縱目光，環(huán)視牛魚(yú)嘴的全貌，您可以在這里大聲呼喚。聽(tīng)聽(tīng)大自然的回音。

    請(qǐng)往后看，山頂上有一個(gè)缺口。高大約五十米．寬約四十米，因?yàn)橐荒晁募敬箫L(fēng)從此缺口吹入從未間斷，所以當(dāng)?shù)鼐用穹Q(chēng)它為“大風(fēng)口”。相傳，那個(gè)缺口不屬于自然生態(tài)形成，而是秦始皇統(tǒng)一六國(guó)之后，嶺南經(jīng)常發(fā)生動(dòng)亂，秦始皇經(jīng)過(guò)與風(fēng)水先生的商議，認(rèn)為這里存在第九龍脈，有這個(gè)龍脈的存在，嶺南就沒(méi)有安寧。于是派出一千名將士在這個(gè)風(fēng)口開(kāi)挖，但是，第一年、第二年每次開(kāi)挖后大風(fēng)口都在次年封閉了。秦始皇認(rèn)定是山神在搗亂，與風(fēng)水先生商議后，選了七條黑狗來(lái)祭拜山神。這一招很靈驗(yàn)，第三年開(kāi)挖后，缺口就不再封閉了，龍脈挖斷之后，第九龍脈就成了跛腳龍，從此天下太平，嶺南未發(fā)生過(guò)叛亂，更沒(méi)有出過(guò)皇帝。

    前面不遠(yuǎn)處就是玉龍?zhí)?，位于牛魚(yú)嘴風(fēng)景區(qū)的中部，潭口下方的巨石中顯現(xiàn)出寬約二十多公分、長(zhǎng)達(dá)幾丈的白玉石層，像一條玉龍正在飲水，所以叫“玉龍?zhí)丁?。?dāng)?shù)亓鱾鳎涸邶埳砩峡缛缇涂梢云讲角嘣?、飛黃騰達(dá)。

    下面的池叫“淑女池”。從上往下看就像一面鏡子，非常漂亮。傳說(shuō)南海龍王的小女兒7月7日偷偷來(lái)到人間，看見(jiàn)這里山清水秀、十分留戀，就趁著夜色在這個(gè)池上沐浴，誰(shuí)知恰好碰上一位打柴回來(lái)唱著山歌的樵夫，對(duì)上歌之后，兩人產(chǎn)生感情，生了一對(duì)龍風(fēng)胎，過(guò)上了美滿幸福的生活。后來(lái)，當(dāng)?shù)睾芏啻薜墓媚?，在盛夏的時(shí)候，會(huì)到這個(gè)池里洗澡，希望將來(lái)得到龍鳳雙胎。

    各位游客，往前走就是當(dāng)?shù)刈钤嫉陌菁郎駢安小?。?jù)當(dāng)?shù)鼐用窠榻B，抗日戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)時(shí)期，國(guó)民黨余部久居山中，每逢豪賭之時(shí)必祭此“伯公仔”，相當(dāng)靈驗(yàn)，十賭九贏。據(jù)專(zhuān)家考證：這種祭拜法，是中國(guó)最為原始古老的拜祭方式之一，現(xiàn)在已瀕臨絕跡。

    往上就是原始生態(tài)林區(qū)部分，這棵樹(shù)名稱(chēng)之為“四爪奇楓”，樹(shù)齡已有250年，由于“四爪奇楓”的枝干與主干的無(wú)規(guī)律生長(zhǎng)，形成了枝干與主干大小相同的奇特現(xiàn)象，文革時(shí)期當(dāng)?shù)氐霓r(nóng)民上山亂砍濫伐，把有用的樹(shù)材都砍去，由于這棵樹(shù)腳短手長(zhǎng)，沒(méi)有什么利用價(jià)值，才得以保留至今?？磥?lái)，古代哲學(xué)家說(shuō)的“無(wú)用即大用”確實(shí)有它的道理。

    上面有塊純天然的巨石，它們像不像一幅畫(huà)呢？請(qǐng)你們仔細(xì)看清楚，到底畫(huà)的像什么？能告訴我答案嗎？有的人說(shuō)像一幅美麗的夜景，有點(diǎn)說(shuō)像一幅雄偉遼闊的草原牧羊圖，真是一幅天然壁畫(huà)。

    請(qǐng)各位游客跟上來(lái)小心走，往前看就是第二瀑布了，叫做“靜心瀑布”，它位于牛魚(yú)嘴的中上部，在靜心瀑布的面前，各位朋友不必認(rèn)真觀賞，而要用心去聽(tīng)，慢慢品味。您會(huì)聽(tīng)到水聲清脆入耳，心曠神怡、豁然開(kāi)朗。也許您還會(huì)再次領(lǐng)悟“光陰如白駒過(guò)隙”這句老話，因而什么事都可以放開(kāi)呢？

    各位游客，請(qǐng)慢慢跟上來(lái)。我想問(wèn)大家，什么樣的風(fēng)景才叫做原始生態(tài)風(fēng)景昵?

    原始生態(tài)風(fēng)景有兩個(gè)特點(diǎn)：一是古藤類(lèi)特別多，二是蕨類(lèi)特別多。我們這個(gè)景區(qū)有古藤二十多種，蕨類(lèi)植物幾百種。前面就是一棵國(guó)家一級(jí)保護(hù)稀世珍貴的植物、有植物活化石美譽(yù)的“剌桫欏”。它靠樹(shù)葉下的孢子粉經(jīng)受精而“傳宗接代”，這是遠(yuǎn)古植物的繁殖方法，要追溯到1.5億年前（而屬果子傳宗接代的都不是遠(yuǎn)古時(shí)代的植物）。它的生長(zhǎng)要求很高，多一點(diǎn)陽(yáng)光、少一點(diǎn)陽(yáng)光或者移植，都難于生長(zhǎng)。

    向上走就有個(gè)休息亭了，大家可以坐下休息一會(huì)。

    左邊的就是天書(shū)巖，因?yàn)樯绞菜埔槐痉_(kāi)的無(wú)字天書(shū)而得名，這本書(shū)不是般人可以讀得懂的，但是，我相信朋友們都能讀懂，因?yàn)槲铱创蠹叶疾灰话恪?/span>

    請(qǐng)繼續(xù)往前走，前面就是“神泉”。相傳這道泉水從秦始皇統(tǒng)一中國(guó)、斬?cái)啻竺鄙降诰琵埫}開(kāi)始，泉噴已經(jīng)超過(guò)兩千年。據(jù)當(dāng)?shù)剞r(nóng)民傳說(shuō)：這道泉一是有生命期，六十年 為一花甲，斷流一次：二是泉眼深處藏著大河流，有巨龍噴出萬(wàn)丈龍須。據(jù)科學(xué)考證，這泉的確有反自然現(xiàn)象。一是位于山頂，實(shí)為罕見(jiàn)：二是旱季不斷流，雨季斷流三個(gè)月，違反自然現(xiàn)象；三是泉眼噴出無(wú)數(shù)乳白色須根，而看不見(jiàn)能依附的樹(shù)桿。由于這口泉能使當(dāng)?shù)剞r(nóng)民旱澇保收，農(nóng)民稱(chēng)之為“神泉”。

    大家請(qǐng)看這邊，在牛魚(yú)嘴風(fēng)景區(qū)里，藤本植物隨處可見(jiàn)。而這么巨大的古藤就比較少見(jiàn)了。這根藤已經(jīng)有200年的歷史，周徑長(zhǎng)66公分、藤蔓長(zhǎng)達(dá)數(shù)百米。在這個(gè)神泉和古藤之間流傳著一個(gè)民間傳說(shuō)：龍九太子與朱惜公子激戰(zhàn)之后，玉帝派天神鎖住龍九太子，龍九太子當(dāng)時(shí)己筋疲力盡，被天神拖著上山，在途經(jīng)古藤時(shí)脫了一層皮，恰好覆蓋住古藤，所以古藤得其仙氣，從此生長(zhǎng)與眾不同，生長(zhǎng)茂盛；而經(jīng)過(guò)神泉時(shí)，龍九太子嘴上的血水和龍須掉在泉里，形成古藤和神泉。

    各位游客，現(xiàn)在開(kāi)始下山了，在這段行程里頭，到處是小鳥(niǎo)的歌唱、山花的幽香。美麗的“綠色世界”，清新的叢林氣息，令人陶醉。在這樹(shù)林里的寶物可多了，其中有一種植物叫馬牯踏（又名龜頭子）因?yàn)楣麑?shí)形似馬蹄而得名，而其有藥用價(jià)值，有壯陽(yáng)作用。當(dāng)?shù)氐木用穹Q(chēng)之為天然的壯陽(yáng)果，很受歡迎。

    這里是牛魚(yú)嘴的第三瀑布，叫“雙孖瀑布”。因?yàn)樗骷睍r(shí)會(huì)分為兩個(gè)支流從天而降，所以叫“雙孖瀑布”。春夏季節(jié)，雨后瀑布極為壯觀，旱季無(wú)水，可做攀巖活動(dòng)項(xiàng)目。

    請(qǐng)大家往下看，那凹下去的山坳就是野豬棲息的地方，是當(dāng)?shù)厣矫裨陂_(kāi)發(fā)牛魚(yú)嘴過(guò)程中發(fā)現(xiàn)的。

    往前不遠(yuǎn)處，那是牛魚(yú)嘴具有特色的花卉“禾雀花”。牛魚(yú)嘴占地5300畝，處處都有禾雀花，這里最集中，前后100米就有大約200株。每年3—4月份，您到這里就會(huì)感到置身在禾雀花的世界里。

    禾雀花的外形很奇特，花開(kāi)四五瓣，花托像禾雀，兩旁各有一粒似眼睛的小黑點(diǎn)，正中的一瓣，彎弓似雀背，兩側(cè)的花瓣似雀翼，底瓣后伸，是尾巴，花內(nèi)還有一撮細(xì)長(zhǎng)略彎的花蕊，人們稱(chēng)之為“內(nèi)臟”。遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)看去，還以為是一群禾雀掛在花藤中?；ㄩ_(kāi)在悠長(zhǎng)的藤蔓上，吊掛成串，每串二三十朵左右，串串下垂，有如萬(wàn)鳥(niǎo)棲枝，令人嘆為觀止。樹(shù)有“獨(dú)木難成林”之說(shuō)，禾雀花卻是“一藤成景”。禾雀花采摘下來(lái)兩三個(gè)小時(shí)后就會(huì)變成黑褐色，更加像禾雀。

    禾雀花也叫白花油麻藤、雀兒花，簇串狀花穗，禾雀花的花季為3—4月份，花期為兩星期，每年清明前后便有一串串掛滿枝頭，近看朵朵花瓣，“頭、眼、嘴、翼、尾”俱全，盛開(kāi)時(shí)如展翅欲飛，含苞欲放則如雛鳥(niǎo)待哺，十分有趣。

    禾雀花還有個(gè)美麗的傳說(shuō)呢。很久很久以前，有一種鳥(niǎo)專(zhuān)吃禾穗，名曰禾雀。每年用它們的尖嘴巴糟蹋了不少稻子，令農(nóng)民兄弟大為頭痛。仙人鐵拐李云游到這里，見(jiàn)鳥(niǎo)害為患，施法術(shù)把禾雀綁縛于綠藤，丟到蓬萊的公坑，只許每年青黃不接的時(shí)候出來(lái)。因此，每當(dāng)春雨綿綿，便有成千上萬(wàn)只花仙子、鳥(niǎo)精靈現(xiàn)于山谷。一串串昂首挺胸，拍動(dòng)雙翅，無(wú)奈腳爪卻釘在綠藤上動(dòng)彈不得。偶有山風(fēng)吹過(guò)，仿佛千萬(wàn)只生蹦亂跳的禾雀躍于綠屏上，雖然不能再搶食禾穗，卻也鬧得一谷不得安寧。引得人們放著那熱烈的搖滾不蹬，潛入寧?kù)o的谷地，尋找在藤蔓上的禾雀。

    再下就是石壁奇楓了，它的根部牢牢抓住這一塊大石頭，而石上井無(wú)泥土。左邊就是我們景區(qū)的第四個(gè)瀑布“飛瀑流泉”，每當(dāng)雨季水大的時(shí)候極為雄偉壯觀，像一幅水簾圖畫(huà)。

    各位游客，這里是本景區(qū)最后的一段山道，大家往樹(shù)叢中瞧一瞧，這個(gè)長(zhǎng)著兩只角的植物，就是中國(guó)著名的四大毒草之一，名叫羊角柳，請(qǐng)大家不要碰它。

    這一片是山稔園，面積有30多畝，稔子分兩種，花葉鋪地面的叫地稔，這里的山稔生長(zhǎng)在山崗上，當(dāng)?shù)厝朔Q(chēng)為“崗稔”。中醫(yī)藥學(xué)證實(shí)，有補(bǔ)血、滋養(yǎng)、安胎的作用，當(dāng)?shù)貗D女喜歡用它來(lái)泡制成“山稔酒”，有補(bǔ)血養(yǎng)顏的功效。

    山腳下的是“土窯”，有八十年的歷史。是當(dāng)?shù)卮迕駷榱私鉀Q建筑用磚瓦的問(wèn)題，就地取材、挖制磚土而建成的。土窯結(jié)構(gòu)雖然簡(jiǎn)單，但非常堅(jiān)固，冬暖夏涼，燒出來(lái)的磚瓦堅(jiān)固耐用，同時(shí)也體現(xiàn)了當(dāng)?shù)鼐用竦闹腔酆颓趧凇?/span>

    又回到山腳休閑游樂(lè)區(qū)，在湖的四周景區(qū)特別建了游樂(lè)項(xiàng)目：高山滑草場(chǎng)、野戰(zhàn)場(chǎng)、燒烤場(chǎng)，游船、松林休息區(qū)、舞臺(tái)區(qū)，讓游客在登山后得到適當(dāng)?shù)膴蕵?lè)休息。

    Along the way to explore the amazing Niu Yu Zui, ancient trees, grotesque stone, Shenquan, Jade Dragon pond, Yulong waterfall and many other special scenic spots allow you to a feast for the eyes.Here with the pure and fresh air and abundant anions, it is a natural oxygen bar. We will be carried away by its attractive scene if we choose to be here in every season. For instance, in spring, you will see the He Que flowers (Mucunabirdwoodiana Tutch) are in full bloom; watching waterfalls in summer and appreciating the beautiful mangrove leaves during autumn. Meanwhile, they also provide Gorge exploring, rock climbing and courts for grass sliding. Boating in the Lake, swimming in the pool and Garden Barbecue can also available.

    Here Green Lake is in front of us, Green Lake is located in the central square area, covering an area about 6.7 hectares. The lake and mountain scenery complementing each other is extremely attractive, walking around or boating in the lake is recommended. We will be carried away by its attractive scene when we standing before the breath-taking panoramic view-- the blue sky, the white clouds and the green hill that reflecting of the Lake.

    Niuyuzui Scenic Area is composed by three tour areas, including Leisure area, Exploration area and Lingnan sightseeing area. Now we visit the Leisure area first.

[Leisure Area]

    Leisure area represents mainly in leisure and recreation. Please look at this lake with the green, clear, transparent, it is Green Lake. Please look at your right hand, that reflected in the lake is an ancient pine forest, covering an area of about 50 acres. There exist more than 350 ancient pine trees in which the oldest trees are 250-year-old, the average age of these trees is about 150years, and they are the sorts of Masson Pine in Guangdong. Pine forest was originally believed to be an auspicious forest by the local people. The natural environment is in well-protection and nobody dare to cut trees here, because people believed that this forest would be able to bless their posterity are of flourishing.

    Please look at the north side, the mountain reflecting in the lake named Da Mao Mountain. It also called Foggy Mountain because it is surrounded by fog all year round. The meaning of Niu Yu Zui originated from abeautiful legend. Once upon a time, three animals lived in the sea and grew up together, they were the ninth sons of the King of the sea who was handsome but irascible, and evil cow king’s son cattle (Niu) who was honestly and powerful,and a little fish who was considerate and has a soft figure. Unfortunately,Dragon and Niu felt in love with Fish at the same time, but Fish has feeling with Niu only. One day, Niu made an appointment with Fish, but Dragon was in great anger and has a fierce fought with Niu when he knew it. After 49 days fighting, as a result, the sea turned in to a mountain, but each of them still ended neither in victory or defeat. At the time this case was alerted to Jade Emperor, he dispatched god to nail the Dragon on the top of Da Mao Mountain,which was the origin of Chinese ninth Long Mai and the legend of cutting off the ninth Long Mai after Qin unified China. Additionally Fish was locked half-way up the mountain while Niu was drove out in the world of human kind as a serf. However, Niu hugged Fish regardless of all consequences prior to getting drive. Later there was a little animal with cattle-shaped and fish shaped,called cow fish. In order to commemorate the love between Niu and Fish, People called this mountain as Niu Yu Zui.

    This is the end of the legend. Then here we come to leisure islet in which more than10 water amusement projects, such as love’s bridge. Let’s have a good time!

    Can you see that pavilion? It is Peach Pavilion, surrounded by hundreds of peach trees and plum trees. A lot of people will come here to appreciate the lovely flowers in the right timing when the peach are in full bloom. On the back ofthis pavilion there are grass sliding court, tackle sliding field, archery range and garden-style barbecue. Then let’s move to the swimming pool, look, the water in this pool is so clear and bright, it comes from Shenquan, directly running through the pool and then flow into the Green Lake.

[Exploration Area]

    Herewe are in the Exploration area. Please take a look of this pool, named pool of brother and sister, which is derived from the beautiful legend of Niu Yu Zui.It said that the brother and sister are children of Niu and Fish, they depend on each other for survivals, thanks to Fish and Niu were inflicted punishments. Everyday the brother went out for hunting and sister did housework at home, butit’s very inconvenient when they used the same pool in washing clothes and taking shower, that’s why they dug two pools themselves. Therefore residents nearby called it pool of brother and sister.

    This bridge in front of us is the starting point of exploration area. This is adventure cableway, let’s join in it! While climbing the ropeway, we can also look for tortoise in the water. Then we will go to climb the Longmen ladder, searching for the legendary carp again!

    It also has plenty of exciting adventure activities waiting for us. Let’s play it and please pay attention to safety.

    This is Wolong valley, the stream tumbles over this valley and leads its way winding, so it looks like a sleeping dragon. This is the crescent ladder, everystep you take just like stepping on the curved moon, along the way, please catch the rope and then we can go to the Dragon exploration along the sleeping Wolong!

    Look! Here is one of the adventure activities, rock climbing. It is near the waterfall,and you ought to climb up the top of the peak. Rock Climbing is a challenging and entertaining sport, sourcing from a beautiful love story. It said that there is a rare kind of rose over the top of the Alps'cliff, a handsome man risk his life climbing the top of the cliff to get the rose for his beloved girl, so as to obtain a precious love.

    The climb to the peak is quite long but it is worth it. Here we come toTengyun ladder with hundreds of steps, it is the highest point along the way of exploration, with a total of 100 steps, and it also serves as shortcut to thefoot of the hill. Your adventurous travel here is coming to an end after go through Tengyun ladder.

[Lingnan Sightseeing Area]

    Dear friends, here we’re entering the Lingnan Sightseeing Area. Would you have alook at this Niu Yu Pavilion. Standing at this pavilion, you can appreciate the overall splendid landscape of NiuYu Zui. 

    Onthe top of this mountain there is a breach, 50m high, 40min width. Because winds blowing from the notch throughout the year, so thelocal people called it notch of winds. According to the legend, the breach is not a natural landscape form, but was established after Qin unified six kingdoms. At that time, many clash often taken place in Lingnan, an accompanying geomancer of the first king of Qin said that there was mass of “imperial spirit” over this mountain and asserted that it was an omen of the birth of a new emperor. He suggested that they should suppress the spirit; otherwise it would surely bring troubles to Lingnan. The emperor was deeply convinced of the case and ordered thousands of soldiers to dig this mountain (the ninth Longmai). Since then, Lingnan became peace and harmony and no new emperor was brought into existence.

    Yulong pond is in front of us, lying in the middle part of Niu Yu Zui scenic area. Under the pond is a white jade stone, 20cm wide and several meters long. Tradition says that, one who stepped over this pond for three times would be successful in his official career.

    This pool named lady pool. It is very beautiful pool and looks like a mirror. Accordingto the legend, the daughter of the king of South China Sea King came here and was deeply attracted by the beautiful scenery. She felt in love with a woodcutter, later she gave a birth to pigeon pair and led a happy life. Since then, many of the local marriageable girls come to this pool to take a shower in summer, wishing they will have boy-girl twins in the future.

    Walking ahead is the most primitive altar “Bo doll” to worship. According to local residents, during the period of Anti Japanese War, the Kuomintang lived in the mountains and they would worship this “Bo Doll” before gambling to wish they would win the game! According to the researcher, it is one of the most ancient and primitive China worship styles and is now on the brink of extinction.

    Over there is original ecological forest zone. This tree named “Si Zhao Qi Feng”,with 250 years old, and its branches grew up irregularly. Trees around this hill were cut off by local farmers during the Cultural Revolution period, but fortunately the tree was preserved until present day. 

    Over there is a pure and natural huge stone. It looks like a picture, right? Some people claim that it is similar with a nocturne; others believe that is looks like a picture of the vast grassland with sheep grazing, such a natural mural.

    Please walk carefully and here we come to another waterfall whose named “Jing Xin waterfall”. It is situated in the central parts of Niu Yu Zui scenic area. Youmay open your heart to appreciate the wonderful landscape here and hear the sound of winds whistling through the verdant forest. Perhaps you’ll best experience the old saying Time as Fleeting.

    Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to ask you, what kind of scenery is called the original ecological landscape?

    The original ecological landscape has two characteristics: first, it has plenty of ancient vines in particular; second, there’re also a large number of ferns. More than 20 kinds of ancient vines are planted in this scenic area, together with hundreds of ferns. The one in front of us is Alsophila spinulosa, the first-grade state protected plant, earning a reputation as a living fossil plant. Its processing of fertilization relies on the spore powder under the leaves. It is the original method of propagation of ancient plants that can be traced back to 150,000,000years ago. Moreover, it is not able to survive under harsh conditions.

    Hereyou can take a rest for a while.

    On the left there is a Tian Shu rock, its name Tian Shu because it looks like anon-words book, as we called Tian Shu in Chinese.

    This is legendary Shen Quan fountain which has been here for more than two thousand years. Tradition says that, the fountain has a life period and it dried up every sixty years. Besides, it said that a river was hiding under this fountain. According to scientific research, it is in violation of natural phenomenon as following three points. First, it is located at the top of thehill; second, it dries up for three months in rainy season but does not whilein dry season; moreover, it springs out countless white fibrous but no branches are attached in the bottom. That’s why people call it as Shen Quan(Supernatural fountain).

    Please look over there, vines plants can be seen everywhere in Niu Yu Zui scenic area,but such gigantic vine is rare. With several meters long and hundreds of meters high, it has a history of 200 years, and originated from folklore between ShenQuan and vines. It said that after Prince Long Jiu has a fierce fight with ZhuXi, Jade emperor was in great anger and then dispatched god to lock up PrinceLong Jiu. Along the way he was dragged on the hill, his leather separated from his body and covered the vines at the same time, that’s why this vines grew differ from others. 

    Dear friends, now we’re going down the mountain. Along the way back from the foot of mountain, you’ll be attracted by the beautiful scenery, the green trees, clear and fresh air, flying birds and the echoes over the valley. Many valuable plantscan be seen here, among them, Ma Gu Ta is named for its water chestnut-shape,and it is popular with local residents because it also has great effect for strengthen men’s body with its medicinal value.

    Here you can see another waterfall, named twin waterfalls. Due to the turbulent river crashes its way through the peak and was divided into two branches, socalled twin waterfalls. You may choose to be here to see the spectacular flying waterfalls in summer or spring, or to do rock climbing during dry season.

    This habitat is where boars living in. It is discovered by local people during explore Niu Yu Zui scenic area.

    This scenic area covers an area of 5300 acres. He Que Hua flower (Mucunabird woodiana) can be seen everywhere when you’re in here, every year from Marchto April, flowers here are in full bloom.

    The flower is composed of four or five petals, with oddly appearance. It was also known for it’s oddly appearance because it grows as a ricebird. Each petal is similar with every pa rt of a ricebird, consisting of eyes, back, wings, tail sand organs. From afar, you’ll sure to make a mistakes in claiming that there’re a group of ricebirds hanging on the flower vines, but actually they’re strings consists of twenty or thirty flowers around. He Que Hua flower (Mucunabird woodiana) that was harvested will become dark brown after two or three hours, making it as sparrows vividly.

    It also called Mucuna flower vine. Flowers here are in full bloom and its flore scenceis two weeks during March and April. Before and after the annual Qingming Festival there will be lots of strings covered with branches. The most interesting isthat it looks like a flying bird when it is in full bloom.

    A charming legend once upon a time, it said that there is a kind of birds that eat grains in particular, meanwhile, farmers nearby suffered a lot from wasting a lot of rice every year. One day, a celestial, by the name of Li Yun, came here and tied the birds with wizardry. Since then, thousands of birds turned into ricebird flowers and showed up in the valley in every rainy season, which attracted people to find them in the tranquil land.

    Charming maple trees here root in the rock wall. On our left hand side is another flying waterfall, and you can image how magnificent it is in every rainy season.

    Dear visitors, let’s go to the forest and find out a plant with two horns, which isone of the four famous China poisonous weeds, named Yang Jiao Liu, so for your safety please don't touch it.

    Here we’re in Nian garden, with an area of more than 30 acres. Nian was divided into two sorts depends on its place of growth, one grow up in the land and the other in the hill. But both of them have effect on skin maintaining, nourishing blood and preventing abortion.

    There are Kilns located on the foot of this mountain, with a history of 80 years.Kilns were made of soil and brick, its structure is simple but very strong and durable,it kept the building warm in winter and cool in summer, and it also embodied the wisdom and hard work of the local residents.

    Here we back to the leisure area, many amusement amenities are provided around this lake, such as grass skiing, CS, barbecue, cruise, Rest Area, stage for visitors  to get proper entertainment after climbing the mountain.
