    古龍峽開業(yè)以來(lái)，取得了輝煌成績(jī)。2007年5月，由國(guó)家體育總局主辦的“古龍峽杯”全國(guó)自然水域漂流人賽在清遠(yuǎn)古龍峽成功舉辦，被授予“國(guó)家體育總局指定賽道”。2008年6月，國(guó)際極限運(yùn)動(dòng)聯(lián)合會(huì)為古龍峽授牌：“指定訓(xùn)練基地”。同期，廣東51棒奧運(yùn)火炬手郭慶河、52棒奧運(yùn)火炬手世界冠軍何灼強(qiáng)在古龍峽河道攜手傳遞圣火。

    2008年11月，廣東旅游總評(píng)榜揭曉，古龍峽成為廣東唯一的“最具吸引力漂流”。2009年4月，古龍峽國(guó)際漂流基地正式掛牌。2010年3月，古尼峽先后榮獲“最受歡迎自駕游景區(qū)”、“最刺激的漂流”。

    古龍大峽谷隱逸于茫茫群山之中。在高差數(shù)百米的萬(wàn)丈寨群峰的夾峙下，兩岸河谷幽深，泉瀑飛瀉，崖樹斜逸，異草遍被。景物特色可用“奇，隱，俏，巧，幽，曠，驚，險(xiǎn)，全，古”十個(gè)字概括。清代詩(shī)人袁枚以“云開古龍峽，浪騰萬(wàn)丈崖”以及“萬(wàn)山如浪涌，泉鳴溪涌流。浮云腳下踩，松濤景色殊”形容峽谷的壯美幽深。

    浪尖上的過(guò)山車——古龍峽漂流，被譽(yù)為中國(guó)漂流的巔峰之作，高差達(dá)678米古龍大峽谷賦予了漂流與眾不同的特色，集瀑布、深潭、奇石、叢林、珍稀植物于一體，懸崖對(duì)峙、奇峰聳立、灘多水急，銀瀑飛濺，人隨艇飛，移步換景，自然景色之美令人為止震撼。因峽深壁陡，林蔭蔽日，漂流河道終年難見天日，年最高氣溫僅為24℃，炎炎夏季仍然冰爽宜人。天然瀑布群及溶洞山泉為漂流提供了充沛的水源。

    漂流賽道全程為天然河道，原始叢林遮天蔽日，巨大的落差和陡峭的河床，賦予了古龍峽極限賽道漂流奔放洶涌、虎嘯龍騰、狂野豪邁的陽(yáng)剛之美。

    為配合國(guó)際漂流基地的驗(yàn)收工程，在2008年進(jìn)行過(guò)奧運(yùn)圣火傳遞、在廣東省旅游總評(píng)榜唯一榮獲“最具吸引力漂流”殊榮的古龍峽漂流，2009年再次獲頒旅游總評(píng)榜廣東“最受歡迎白駕游的景區(qū)”，廣東旅游風(fēng)云榜“最刺激漂流”，2010年震撼推出全新改進(jìn)升級(jí)的水上F1國(guó)際賽道：全程6063米，落差達(dá)378米，最快時(shí)速72公里，共分為兩個(gè)賽段：中國(guó)挑戰(zhàn)賽道和國(guó)際極限賽道，成為目前廣東省賽道最長(zhǎng)、落差最大、流速最快的漂流項(xiàng)目。目前全程賽道通過(guò)中國(guó)船級(jí)社權(quán)威安全認(rèn)證。

    最刺激的河道當(dāng)屬古龍峽“神龍回首”河段，180度的大轉(zhuǎn)角，類似雅魯藏布江大氣雄渾的U型大轉(zhuǎn)彎，兩岸壁立千仞，形成一夫當(dāng)關(guān)、萬(wàn)夫莫開之勢(shì)。高速滑行的皮艇像浪尖上的過(guò)山車，飛旋在波峰波谷間，在驚魂末定之際又嘎然而止，橡皮艇穩(wěn)穩(wěn)躍入一個(gè)的清澈水潭里，平靜下來(lái)，尖叫聲似乎還在耳邊。

    朋友們，這里就是萬(wàn)丈崖瀑布群。被譽(yù)為“粵北第一瀑”的萬(wàn)丈崖大瀑布，單體落差達(dá)101米，猶如巨龍從天而降，狂野無(wú)羈，氣勢(shì)磅礴。在懸崖壁峭壁撞擊下，飛入峽谷激起驚濤駭浪。瀑布兩層疊水的第一層如同一幅巨大的素綢，折射著銀色的閃光和迷蒙的水霧。第二層似銀河飛瀉，串串銀色珠簾飛濺而下，彩虹幻出，水聲轟鳴。穿越500米的觀光棧道，游客就可以零距離體驗(yàn)撲面而來(lái)的震撼。

    朋友們，這里就是印第安部落。印第安部落的山水情景式演出，再現(xiàn)了印第安民族野性與激情，景區(qū)內(nèi)瀑布邊，草屋前，河道中，演員們的“木鼓舞”“圓圈舞”“甩頭舞”不間斷上演，熱力四射，叢林狂歡，野性的呼喚與夸張的特技帶您重歸原始的秘境。

    朋友們，古龍峽的美食當(dāng)然是大名鼎鼎的清遠(yuǎn)雞，做法一般是白切，以保持農(nóng)家雞的原汁原味。

    另外，古龍峽景區(qū)內(nèi)有11平方公里竹海，是當(dāng)?shù)刂禺a(chǎn)——駱坑筍的原產(chǎn)地，趕上鮮筍上市的季節(jié)，千萬(wàn)不要錯(cuò)過(guò)“春筍燜花腩”這道鄉(xiāng)村美食。當(dāng)然，清甜可口的北江河鮮也是不錯(cuò)的選擇。

    Since it was opened to theoutside world, Gu Long gorge ecological tour area has made brilliantachievements. In May 2007, Gu Long Gorge has successfully held National NaturalWaters Rafting Championship (so-called Cup of Gu Long Gorge), which isorganized by the State General Administration of Sports. Thus, Gu Long Gorgewas awarded as "designated track by State General Administration ofSports". In June 2008, it was praised as the "Designated TrainingBase" by the International Extreme Sports League. At the same time, theNo.51 Olympic torchbearer Guo Qinghe and the No.52 Olympic torchbearer HeZhuoqiang who is the world champion have implemented the Olympic torch relay inGu Long gorge.

    In November 2008, Gu Long Gorgebecame "the most attractive drifting in Guangdong ", which was announced byGuangdong Tourism billboard. In April 2009, Gu Long Gorge was officiallyawarded as international rafting base. In March 2010, Gu Long gorge has won thehonorable titles of "the most popular scenic spot for self-driving tour"and "the most exciting rafting".

    Gu Long Gorge enjoys a lovelysituation and it is surrounded by the mountains. With deep valleys, obliquecliff, verdant trees and many others magnificent scenery, it can best reflect apoetic life and it is a tourists’ destination that Qing Dynasty poet Yuan Meispeaks highly of.

    Gu Long gorge rafting, is alsocalled the roller coaster of waves, known as the pinnacle of drifting in China. All ofthe falls reach 678 meters long, the Gu Long gorge features an array of naturalscenery including waterfalls, deep lakes, grotesque stones, towering peaks,jungle as well as rare and endangered plants. You’ll be carried away by thewonderful natural scenery here. Endowed with the lovely natural favors, thetemperature here is kept at 24℃throughout the year, thus it is comfortable even though in summer. Besides, thenatural waterfalls and cave spring water in Gu Long gorge provid abundant waterfor rafting.

    The whole journey of driftingwas in natural rivers, with primitive jungle are surrounded. The great falls andprecipitous river-bed here have taken shape into the turbulent and excitingtracks in Gu Long gorge.

    Apart from its honorablereputations or titles, Gu Long gorge launched a newly project in 2010---waterF1 International Speedway. The whole journey is divided into two parts,national challenging speedway and international speedway. With a total of 6063meters long, its drops reach 378 meters and the fastest speed reach 72 km/h, it is the drift project withlongest track, greatest fall and fastest velocity in Guangdong Province. Itsentire track was carried by the CCS (China Classification Society) safetycertification.

    The most exciting watercourse iscalled dragon watercourse, with 180 degrees and the turn of U-shape. Thewatercourse is similar to the Yarlungzangbu River, with precipices onthe both sides of mountain, it is sure to bring you a secret and exciting tour.When you’re enjoying at the swirling between the peaks and valleys, the dinghysuddenly brings you into a clear pool.

    Now we have arrived at the cliffwaterfalls group. The towering cliffs waterfall, with a marvelous fall reach101 meters, is known as "the best waterfall in northern Guangdong". Its very magnificence addedto its majesty, and its towering cliffs seemed to kiss the sky. Here we can seetwo layers of this brilliant waterfall. The first layer looks like a huge plainsilk with the refraction of silver glitter and misty mist. While the secondlayer looks as if a silvery stream gushing out from a water pool cave in themountainside. After across sightseeing plank road with 500 meters long, you’llmeet this waterfall and be attracted by it.

    Here we come to the Indiantribe. They provide Indian tribal landscape performances and jungle carnival,which show the passion of Indian ethic group. Alongside the waterfalls or infront of the hay house, the performers are playing uninterrupted wooden drumdance or circle dance. Here the call of the wild and exaggerating specialeffects will show you a return to the primitive.

    One of the flavorful dishes herein Gu Long gorge is the well-known Qingyuan chicken. Especially the slicedboiled chicken, using this cooking method retains the original flavor ofQingyuan chicken and leaves it tasty, smooth and refreshing.

    In addition, there is also abamboo forest with 11 square kilometers in Gu Long Gorge Scenic Area, which isa place producing a famous local specialty -- Luo Keng bamboo shoot. When youcome here in the right season, a dish of stewed pork belly with bamboo shoot isrecommended. Of course, the delicious river food is also a good choice.
